Trust God’s Plan

We are getting ready to transition and make changes in our home as we have a little one starting a new school in the fall. So, we are pursuing a couple schools that we think would be a good fit for her. We are praying and watching God open doors, walking through those open doors and waiting until God shuts a door.

Traveling through the process of a plan does not always feel good at times. There may be some waiting, oppositions and even some trials. I do know that God's way is better, so I have to trust God’s plan after I give it to Him in prayer. “Lord, I am going to trust Your plan.”

Paul had to trust God’s plan as he was compelled by the Holy Spirit to go to Jerusalem in the book of Acts. Even some disciples pleaded with him not to go because of what he might face when he was there, but they ended up saying, "The Lord's will be done" in Acts 21:14 - When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, “The Lord’s will be done” (NIV). It was not an easy road for Paul, but God had a plan.

We also have to trust God, because He too has a plan for us. It may not look easy going through that plan, but it is a good plan - a better plan than we would have for ourselves. We may encounter some opposition, be afraid or feel other emotions as it does not always go the way we want it to go, or think it should go, but like God told Paul in part of Acts 23:11 “Take courage!” I encourage you today to be courageous, give it to God and trust God’s plan.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You have a plan for all of us. I pray that I will trust the plan You have for me. May Your will be done. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
