The Sky Proclaims God's Work

Over the last year, I have seen some cool things going on in the sky - super moons, a Christmas Star and here recently I woke up at 3 a.m. to see a really cool partial lunar eclipse. The sky was really clear, so I got a perfect view of it. It is an eclipse that will not happen for another 648 years. It was absolutely stunning out that morning with all of the stars added in as well. God is so Good!

As I was looking at the long partial lunar eclipse, I thought of this verse in Luke 21:25 There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea (NIV).

Jesus spoke this verse when He was talking about the end times. And so, when there is talk about another event in the sky that includes the sun, moon and stars, it makes me question, are these the signs that Jesus is coming back soon? The more frequently I view things happening in the sky that only God creates, it gives me that hope that it will be soon.

If you get a moment this week, take a look out at the sky. I am in awe of God’s work. It says in Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands (NIV).

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing beauty in the sky! Only You are able to create such amazing work! I pray that when I look up at the sky, I will see the glory of Your work! In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
