The warmer weather and all the garden planning has me getting excited about spring. I know it is a bit early, but I just can’t help myself!
I started to ponder about last spring and all the birds I happened to notice. One particular day, I was driving down the road and there were like hundreds of tiny little birds that swooped up over the hood of my car just as I was approaching them. Just as that happened, I could hear in my spirit, “I am teaching you to fly.”
My word for 2022 was breakthrough. Breakthroughs don’t happen unless you go through something to come out on the other side with victory!
Looking back over last year, I count the wins, both big and small, and I am so thankful because God is teaching me through His Word and it is completely not possible without Him. Glory be to God!
When we are in His Word, He is teaching us how to soar. No, He doesn’t promise us a life without trouble, but He does promise to be with us as we journey through it. As we hope in Him, He gives us strength, helps us persevere through, gives peace, extends this unexplainable joy to us! When we face the storms of life, we are not knocked down by them, because God is our Rock.
Now I look up and see the birds soaring!
Makes me think of Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
It’s that fullness that Jesus talks about in John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Victory is yours! Be in God's Word and watch Him teach you to fly!
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and for teaching me! I pray I will continue to learn from You! In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
