Strengthened

It seems like it is getting tougher and tougher to fight through all the ugly noise in today’s world. Satan is just out to get everybody - who can I snatch up today? Whose marriage can I ruin today? Whose families can I divide today? Which person can I get to believe my lies? Who can I bully today in their thoughts? I see it all around me – the strongholds that people are facing and how he is wiggling his way into their situations when they are already tired and worn out. He wants to wear us out to the point we give up.

Maybe you are thinking, “I am trying, but I am struggling to find that strength.” The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31 but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint (NKJV). Waiting on God will strengthen us to get through the times when we are tired.

Look at the life of David. He was on the run from Saul and it says they were in the wilderness strongholds. And while they were there, Jonathan visited David and helped him find strength in God – 1 Samuel 23:16 And Saul’s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God (NIV). When we are going through something in our life that is wearing us down, we need the strength of the Lord, otherwise we will be so tired to try to fight through what we may be facing.

Praying, reading the Bible, being in church, watching church, having faith-filled friends, reading a good devotional or Christian-based books and listening to Christian music are all things that can help keep our eyes on God and strengthen us throughout the week. God will strengthen us through the weary times in our life, and we will come out stronger!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being my strong foundation! I pray You will strengthen me today. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
