It is that time of the year I start to spring clean! And as I do so, I have begun to ponder this verse in Luke 16:10 Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much (NIV). I always think it is good to take a minute and think about what God has given us to manage. I honestly have not been very good at using my time well, so I am taking some time during spring cleaning to organize.
The shrewd manager was not a very good manager of his masters’ possessions in Luke 16.
All of what God has given us is His, he entrusted us with it - our home, our finances, our jobs, our talents, our time, etc. What am I doing with what God has given me? Do I care about the current things I am managing? Am I diligently taking care of those things? What am I using my time doing? God wants us to be honest managers of what He has given us, it shows that we can be trusted with more.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for encouraging me to be a good manager of what you put me in charge of. It is Yours and I pray that I can manage it well. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
