There are these moments in our lives that we may get discouraged and doubt God. I know I do, but He always reminds me of who I am talking to. It can be the tiniest things we doubt too. Our hope may diminish a little, and we may forget God’s abilities, as if He were like one of us. But He is far from like one of us, He is I AM!
Moses asked God what His name was who sent him, so he could tell the Israelites who He was. God’s answer was this in Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you (NIV).’”
Notice God’s name is written in capital letters. God means business and doesn’t want us to forget who He is. He is not like us or anyone we know. He is holy. He is not going to lie to us, steer us wrong, abandon us, change His mind. If God says, “You are more than a conqueror.” Then you are more than a conqueror!
If we could really grasp how almighty God is, we would never doubt Him EVER. With God it is possible. Prayer changes things. We are talking to I AM! King of kings, Lord of lords! He is able to heal, he is able to restore, He is able to mend your broken heart and bring you up out of the wilderness! Take some time today to reflect on God’s name. He is I AM!
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being the Name above all names! As I reflect on who You are, I pray that I will never doubt again the greatness of You. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
