God's Light Is So Good

Genesis 1:3-4 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness (NIV).

Genesis 1:16-17. God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth (NIV).

I use this phrase a lot - God is sooo so so good! And I usually end up whispering this to Him at the end of my devotional time with Him, because He is so so good to me, even on tougher days.

The light God created is good!

God gives us light during the day and light at night. God does not leave us to wonder in the darkness, neither at day or at night. So when we are going through any season of life, we can look at the lights in the sky as a great reminder that the light God made is good and God's good light shines in all seasons! He is just so good!

Sometimes we just need that reminder that we are not left to wonder alone in the darkness, but that He gave us His Light, the Light of the world - Jesus. Take a minute reflect on the light that is around you. Go out and absorb the suns rays or adventure out to look at the moon and the stars. And when you do, think on the goodness of God!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us light! You are with us through every season that we face, and I pray that when I look at Your light whether in the day or at night, I know that You are always shining Your light on us. I am never left in the dark. In Jesus' Name I Pray, Amen.
