God of All Comfort

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God (ESV).

I once had a friend tell me, ‘It will make you lean on Jesus that much more,” as I was going through a challenging mama moment.

I know for me, God has comforted me through some really tough times, even what felt like lonely times, and it has helped me keep my hope in Him, to keep moving forward and share with others that same comfort to uplift their hope.

We can know that He will bring us comfort. Somethings we seem to endure in what seems like forever, but doesn’t it make us lean on Him that much more? Then we can share it with our neighbor so that they too can be comforted as they go through things. God is how we are able to endure it, because of the comfort He gives to us while we are going through it.

Same chapter, just a little further down - For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory (2 Corinthians 1:20).

I will stand on this promise that He is the God of all comfort everyday as I face challenging moments in my life, and I hope that you too can find yourself leaning into Him all that much more for He will bring you comfort when you are going through the tougher moments.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being the God of all comfort. I pray as I endure through things in my life, I will lean on You all the more. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
