I have this bookmark that I found rummaging through some things my aunt had given me that says:
Faithful Servant
Be strong and do not give up for your work will be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15:7
So, recently I have been proud of my son for trying to finish his school year strong. He had missed some days at the beginning of the year because he had gotten sick, and it was a bit of a setback for him, but he has managed to finish strong!
A new word that I have been using over the year is try. That’s all we can do is try. I believe a lot of great things happen when we try. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and like life, it isn’t perfect.
Much like being proud of my children for trying, I would think God is proud of His children for trying too! For trying to be kind to others, for trying to have a servant’s heart, for trying to trust in Him with all our hearts, for trying to be obedient, for moms or dads trying to raise your kids up in the way they should go, for trying to be a good friend, etc.
The Bible says in Psalm 14:2 The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
God is watching! Your work isn’t going unnoticed! Keep trying and do not give up for your work will be rewarded.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for this Scripture today! Strengthen me today to try. For I praise You because You help me in my weaknesses. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
