Accept God's Promises For Your Life

Do you ever read a passage of Scripture and think is that really for me? God intended that for the person in the Bible, He surely did not intend that for me. Yes, He intended it for you too! We have to accept that God’s Word is for us! As a Christian, we get to participate in His kingdom!

God gives so many good promises in the Bible, but one promise is the best promise He could have given! God gave David a promise in 2 Samuel 7. The promise was God would raise up an offspring to succeed David and his kingdom would endure forever. That promise is Jesus! David then went into prayer to say in 2 Samuel 7:22 “How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears (NIV).”

We have to let God’s promises sink down into our hearts and accept them as ours! All of them! God does not show favoritism (Acts 10:34). Accept that Jesus has accepted you, accept that He will never leave you, accept that He is with you, accept His grace, accept His peace, accept that He chose you, accept that you are forgiven, accept His promises!

There is no one like God to do all of this for us! There is no one who will do for you what Jesus can do for you. No one who can heal you. No one who can restore relationships. No one who can do impossible miracles. No one who can love you the way God does. No one who knows you better than Jesus. No one who can be a great comforter like Him. No one who will strengthen you the way He does. No one who will give you rest. No one who will forgive you the way Jesus forgives us or guides us the way He does. There is no one like Him!

Go around this week, “Lord, I accept it! I accept your promises! They are for me!” Leave no room for doubting and questioning whether they are for you or not.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promises! I accept that You did it all for me! I am grateful. I pray that Your Word will sink way down in my soul and I will accept the promises You have for my life. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
